Intellectual Property Policy

Last updated:

Every pair of Leg Glow leggings starts as a print file: a pattern, a color story, sometimes a name or a photo a customer sends in. This policy explains what belongs to Leg Glow on legglow.shop, what you are free to do with it, the lines we hold for ourselves when choosing designs, the rules for names and photos in personalized orders, and how to raise a trademark, design, publicity or other intellectual property concern. Copyright takedown notices follow the formal steps on our DMCA page; everything else starts here.

Intellectual property at a glance

  • The Leg Glow name, logo, prints, product previews and site text belong to Leg Glow or are used with permission.
  • Link to us and share our pages freely. Do not copy our images, prints or descriptions to sell or post as your own.
  • We do not knowingly print team logos, brand marks, characters or celebrity images we have no rights to, in our own range or in personalized orders.
  • Names, dates and photos for personalized pieces come through the checkout order notes box and email. You confirm you have the right to use them.
  • Customer photos stay private and are deleted 30 days after delivery.
  • Report a concern to support@legglow.shop or by post to Leg Glow, 2243 Sagamore Parkway West, West Lafayette, IN 47906, US. We reply within 24 hours on business days.

1. What Leg Glow owns

Unless a page says otherwise, the following content on legglow.shop belongs to Leg Glow or is used under permission from its owner:

  • the Leg Glow name, logo and the look of our labels and packaging inserts;
  • the prints and patterns on our leggings, joggers, yoga and biker shorts, tennis skort, matching sets, kids activewear and holiday collections;
  • product previews, mockups, banners and other images;
  • product descriptions, size and care guidance, policy pages and help articles;
  • the layout, navigation labels and overall arrangement of the site.

These are protected by copyright, trademark and related laws in the United States and in the countries we ship to: Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Buying a product gives you the garment, not the rights to the print on it. You can wear it, gift it, resell that one item second-hand and photograph yourself in it. You cannot reproduce the print on other goods.

2. What you are welcome to do

  • Browse, save and print pages for your own personal, non-commercial use, such as printing the size guide before measuring.
  • Share links to products and pages by message, email or on your own social accounts.
  • Post photos of yourself wearing your Leg Glow pieces, whether on a cold Canadian walk in fleece-lined leggings or at the finish line of a Christmas fun run in a family set.
  • Quote a short extract from a page in a review or article, with a link back to the original.

3. What needs our written permission

  • Copying our product images, prints or descriptions onto another store, marketplace listing or print-on-demand account.
  • Printing our patterns on anything, including “inspired by” versions that keep the same layout and motifs.
  • Using the Leg Glow name or logo in a way that suggests we sponsor, partner with or approve of you.
  • Registering domains, account names or ads using our name.
  • Scraping or bulk-downloading the site with automated tools, other than normal search engine indexing.
  • Using our images or text to train or feed design generators or listing tools.

If you want to do any of these, ask first at support@legglow.shop. Tell us who you are, what you want to use and how. We answer every request, and silence is never permission.

4. Our trademark

“Leg Glow” and our logo identify our store and products. Please write the name as two words, and do not change the logo’s shape or colors. Other names that appear on the site, such as payment provider names at checkout, belong to their owners. Mentioning them does not mean those companies endorse us, and our use of them is only to describe a service.

5. How we choose and check designs

We want every print in our range to be one we have the right to sell. When we add or review a design, we stay away from:

  • sports league and team names, crests and colors used as a team identity;
  • cartoon, film, game and toy characters;
  • fashion and sportswear brand marks, monograms and signature patterns;
  • celebrity faces, names or signatures;
  • artwork, photos or fonts taken from the web without a license.

Holiday prints use general seasonal motifs, such as snowflakes, candy canes or pumpkins, rather than characters from holiday films. If we ever get it wrong, we want to hear about it, and section 8 explains how.

6. Names, photos and other content you send for personalization

6.1 How customer content reaches us

There is no upload tool on the site. You type personalization details, such as a name for a name-waistband pair, a date or a short description of your photo, in the order notes box at checkout. You send the photo itself by replying to your order confirmation email or emailing support@legglow.shop with your order number. We print what you send; there is no proof step, so check spelling before you pay. You can still correct a misspelled name within 24 hours of ordering.

6.2 Your rights to the content

By sending a photo, name or design for printing, you confirm that you own it or have permission to use it, and that printing it will not break anyone’s copyright, trademark, privacy or publicity rights. You keep ownership of your photo. You give Leg Glow a limited permission to use it only to make, check and ship your order.

Personalization content: usually fine and not allowed
Type of contentUsually fineNot allowed without the rights owner’s permission
PhotosPhotos you took, photos of your own pet, group shots where everyone agrees, like a bachelorette weekend pictureProfessional or stock photos without a print license; images saved from websites
Names and textYour name, your child’s name, a nickname, a date or a short phrase you wroteBrand slogans, song lyrics, film quotes, team names
Logos and graphicsA logo you own outright, such as your own small business markSports, school, club or brand logos you do not control
PeopleYourself; others who have agreed; your own childrenCelebrities; people who have not agreed

6.3 When we decline a request

If personalization content looks like someone else’s protected work, or a name is clearly a brand or team mark, we pause the order and email you. You can send a different photo or wording, choose the item without personalization, or cancel for a full refund. We do not print first and ask later.

6.4 Privacy of your photos

Customer photos are never published on the site or used to promote the store. They are deleted 30 days after your order is delivered, as described in the Privacy Policy.

7. Reviews, photos and messages you share with us

If you send feedback, a suggestion for a new print or a photo of yourself in your order, you keep ownership of it. We will not publish a photo of you or anything that names you without asking first. If you share an idea for a print, we may develop something similar without paying you, because many people suggest similar ideas, but we will never present your own artwork as ours.

8. Reporting a trademark, design or publicity concern

Email support@legglow.shop with the subject “IP concern”, or write to Leg Glow, 2243 Sagamore Parkway West, West Lafayette, IN 47906, US. Please include:

  1. your name, contact details and your link to the rights owner (owner, employee or legal representative);
  2. the right involved, for example a trademark registration number and country, a registered design, or the person whose image is used;
  3. the URL of each product or page concerned and what on it you are referring to;
  4. a short explanation of why you believe it infringes;
  5. a statement that the information you give is accurate and that you are authorized to make the report.

For a copyright claim, use the six-part notice on the DMCA page instead, because that process has legal steps of its own.

9. What happens after you report

  1. We confirm receipt within 24 hours on business days.
  2. We look at the product, its print file and how it was created.
  3. If we need more detail, such as proof of a registration, we ask before deciding.
  4. If the concern is valid, we remove or change the product and stop printing it on new orders. Since everything is made to order, there is no leftover stock to sell off.
  5. We email you with what we changed. If we disagree, we explain why and stay open to further information.

10. If you think someone copied Leg Glow

If you see our prints or product images on another site, send us the link. Shoppers sometimes spot this before we do, and it helps protect people from buying copies that are not ours. We contact the platform concerned under its own rules.

11. Creators, reviewers and photos of you in Leg Glow

Love how your photo leggings turned out and want to film a try-on, a workout or a styling video? Go for it. You own the photos and videos you make of yourself, and you can show our products in them. Two simple rules keep things fair:

  • Do not say or suggest you are sponsored by, paid by or partnered with Leg Glow unless we have agreed that with you in writing.
  • Do not reuse our own product previews or banners as if they were your photos. Your own shots of your own pieces are always fine.

If you received an item from us for free or at a discount, follow the advertising disclosure rules where you live, such as tagging the post as a gift.

12. Kids pieces, schools and clubs

Parents often ask for a child’s name on a pair of kids leggings in sizes 4Y to 12Y, or for a dance studio, school or sports club name for a group order. A first name or nickname is fine. A school crest, club logo or mascot belongs to that school or club, so we need written permission from them before we print it. Forward their permission email with your order number and we will take it from there. Without it, we can print the name in plain lettering instead.
